Emeel S. Betros (August 29, 1931 – March 10, 1980) was an American lawyer and politician from New York. ==Biography== Betros was born on August 29, 1931, in Poughkeepsie, New York. He practiced law, and served as an Assistant New York Attorney General in 1960.〔(Profile ), ''Newburgh-Beacon News'', Google News Archive Search; accessed August 15, 2015.〕 He was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1969 until his death in 1980, sitting in the 178th, 179th, 180th, 181st, 182nd and 183rd New York State Legislatures.
